UNITY MALL OF CENTRE : KERALA WILL GET 150 CRORES

Kerala will get Rs 150 crores for the Unity Mall, which will be built directly by the central government in all states. The state government has also decided to give ten acres of land for this purpose in Technopark. Detailed DPRIT Department has prepared and handed over the implementation of the project to the Industries Department as per the instructions of the Chief Minister. The concept of Unity Mall was announced in the last budget. This is under a scheme that provides special assistance to states for capital investment. 5000 crores have been allocated by the Center for this purpose.

Unity Mall is built as a mall that highlights the diversity and unity of the country in the capital of every state. The mall will have stalls for all states and Union Territories. Each state can display and sell products and handicrafts that it can claim as its own. All the 14 districts of Kerala can present their own unique products.

Unit malls in other states are introducing 32 products, including Kerala's Aranmula Kannadi (Aranmula Metal Mirror) and Pokkali Rice. Apart from this there will be cafe centers and theaters to perform and watch the traditional art forms of the states. As soon as the DPR is handed over to the Centre, the money will be handed over to Kerala. The money is given as an interest-free loan to be repaid after 50 years.
